Thought I'd take up pen turning to make use of those pretty little bits and pieces one has hanging around. This one's Western Sheoak (Allocasuarina Fraseriana) finished with Shellac.DSCN0018.jpg

That's a nice looking pen. The fit of the wood to the metal parts and the finish look spot on.

Thank you all very much for your encouragement. There is indeed something a wee bit addictive to this pen turning, and it's a really nice way to use bits and pieces that might otherwise be difficult to use. It reminds me of when I used to make Airfix models as a kid, I'm now spending far too much time scouring seller's websites looking at their pen kits.
