No crocks? Too far inland? Too far South? Too Idyllic?

You missed one - freshwater croc. I'm reasonably comfortable swimming in areas inhabited by freshies, but not areas where salties are known to inhabit.

The Brisbane river is at the bottom of my street, maybe 500 yards. We used to go swimming there but the $%^& water authority have fenced our side off. You have to cross the weir and climb down the hill on the other side. Very annoying.

Of course it recently came a bit closer to my house for a week or so

The fence is to stop the river coming up too high.

    Couple more pics
    The pooch had a ball
I had to stay on the sideline though and watch
Be back swimming in a month hopefully
The amount of fish in this system is staggering
Some good sized Perch I spotted close to the bank
Maybe 30cm in length...a few a bit bigger
I reckon there would be cherapin in there too

For us poor people who live further south (near Tamworth but in the hills) I don't think swimming would be the activity but we would be close to ice skating.
[That's an exaggeration but it highlights our very diverse beautiful country]

How is your convalescence coming on Chris?
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

Log Dog, that reminds me of a spot near Mt. Mulligan, west of Cairns. Probably not the same spot, but similar looking country.
