    Default Lidded Vessel

We had our monthly meetings today and the latest issue of Fine Woodworking was perused for safety, before being added to the library. The Librarian did ask if I had looked at it and then said that there was a lidded vessel in amongst the flat work. He also said, that I had never made one . . .

This is a practice piece, turned from a lump of FIS timber, sanded a bit and a touch of the eee.LB01.jpg

The finial is a piece of Solomon Islands Ebony, that I got off here, some time back.LB02.jpg

The lid may have warped a little, as it no longer sits flat.

I'm not sure on the form/shape. Seems over top heavy and the finial too chunky.
But this is just my opinion.
Others with more knowledge and skill that I'll ever have may comment.
