Heart Boxes
I normally hide in the toy section or occasionally in the wood-turning section of the forum.
I have made a few of this shape in the past and here are two more. Made from Oak and American Black Walnut they will be Christmas presents. As they will end up in the same house I decided to make them face in the opposite direction to each other because not only are they both from the same woods but the colour of the draw lining is the same so needed something to tell who's is who's.

Very nice Dalboy. Is the interior flocked or velvet?
Also, how did you start the cut into the lower section? There doesn't appear to be a curve leading into it.Cheers, Bob the labrat

Thank you both.
The inside is sticky backed felt I make paper templates before cutting this save a lot of messing about.
The entry cut is near the tip of the heart shape if you follow the top of the bottom draw line you can just about see the faint line where I entered the box. The wood looks lighter in this photo as the flash went off the original picture is near to the correct colour of the boxes

Those are lovely Dalboy. I haven't traversed from on draw to a second and that is a really neat way of doing it.
I'll have to get back to doing some boxes. The only ones I've done for a while have either been for sowing machine bobbins or magnetic topped sewing pin jobbies. My ambition is to grow old disgracefully. So far my ywife recons that I'm doing quite well! John.
