Norton 360
I've been using AVG antivirus but it's up for renewal and it's $120 a year where as I can get a Norton360 serial number from officeworks for $39.
I do a lot of lot of downloading, and a lot of that is from bit torrent sites - not the sort of site you'd send your mother to.
All I want is a basic antivirus, something that will stop the pop ups, trackers & malware that goes with the sites I use.
Will Norton360 do the job?

100% antivirus programs are just bloat ware now days.
also depends what your torrenting if its just movies/tv shows well there is bugger all chance a movie file has a virus and if it did it probably wouldn't have a ton of seeder as they get reported/taken down quick.
as mentioned the inbuilt windows security is actually pretty good if for some reason you're downloading random .exe files from suspect russian websites.

Norton 360 is a good product but renewals are a rip off. So much so that I usually have to make a complaint to get the renewal at the right price, or uninstall and purchase anew. There's also a lot of un-ticking of options required to stop all of its annoying "features" popping up all over.
Yes its bloat-ware but on a decent PC there's no affect.

Windows Defender, it is already included with current versions of Windows.
Just make sure it is enabled and you are downloading the definition updates for it.
