Thicknesser conversion to flap sander
Its either a light-bulb moment OR a moment of madness.
I have 330mm WorkZone (an ALDI thing) thicknesser and I was staring at it the other day when I had an epiphany.
Could I - I wondered - turn it into a temporary flap sander.
I'd reverse the blades and use them toclamp, say, 80 grit sanding belt sections of 100mm x 100mm the width of the cutter cylinder.
Would the speed of the drum be too much to be an effective sander.
Any thoughts? Or will I end up killing myself?:)
