Last year I bought this Dyco 12" Superfine Table Saw. I don't know much about it apart from it was made in NZ. I haven't really come across many here in Australia. It's a solid unit and must weight around 100-140kg at a guess.
- It was a 3 phase but bought a 3HP 240v single phase and had some crafty engineering work done to mount the motor as the original motor had a flange which is no longer common (I searched everywhere).
- It got a full bare metal sand blast and coated in etching primer + a couple of coats of machine industrial green
- Gave the table top a good scrub as it had years of layers and layers of muck.
- Bought it for $350 and spent around ~$400 on it in total. There was one over in NZ mid 2019 which wasn't restored, asking price was over $800. so figured it came out OK (didn't over capitalise)
It works well and I built a ~100kg traditional roubo bench with it after the restore and it wen't like a dream. Anyway not much out there on these machines so would be keen to know of others who have one or has come across one in NZ and Australia.
Before restore (tabletop removed)
