trying to put a plunge router onto a router table (tra001) so I can use the router off the table too. (dont need to buy 2 routers) but I'm told a makita and/or aeg have them too - with a winder like the tra001 - does anyone know their model no?

The Makita RP1800X05 and RP2301FC05 both appear to have this ability but it’s a very crude method; you fit a 135mm long M6 machine screw through the table into the router body and adjust the height using a flat bladed screwdriver. I suppose you could use a cordless screwdriver to speed it up a bit.
AFAIK only the Tritons and Trends have a proper above-table winding system.
I have the Triton in my Router table and never use the above table winder. You have to reach down under the table to unlock the height adjuster so making the adjustment there is just as quick. I never use the Router without the lock engaged as it can adjust itself down due to vibration whilst running and the lock also takes to load off the mechanical parts so they don't wear over time.
I also have a TRA 001 prior to above table winder option so great to hear i have been using it correctly, locking off every adjustment as well.i dont understand why the under table adjustment is not universal now, Maybe a patent issue? Also removing the plunge spring and blowing out debris after every use , mine under a basic table after many years , still works every time , thanks Ross
