Gday Fromm Fraser coast.
Hello all.
Everyone calls me stookie.
Im originally from Bonnie Scotland and moved to Oz 20 years ago.
I’ve been travelling Australia with may family for 10 years working on remote Cattle stations and doing farming contracts. We have now settled down after covid disrupted travelling.
We bought property in a rural part of the Fraser coast and I’ve been keen to get
into woodworking.
I’ve got my shed and some tools and have been slabbing some spotted gum from the block
which has been good and bad but a learning process.
I’ve never worked with wood much but I’m more of a welder fabricator and mechanic type.
I’m keen to get into working with wood now I’m a stay at home guy and looking for something constructive to do. Especially with wood as I’ve got a lot of stock on the property.
I got heaps of questions and I look forward to getting some advice and guidance
cheers all
stookie.

G'Day & Welcome to a top forum "Stookie".....
There are a good few around the Frazer Coast area with a stack members around Brisbane Stookieand cross South East Queensland plus the rest of the country.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork......
