Hi all. Just purchased this bandsaw and wondering if anyone has more info about it. I am planning on restoring it and using it regularly. Any tips, advice, etc are always much appreciated .

Yikes dont know all the answers but I think you got a butchers bandsaw, There does not appear to be any tracking or slides or grooves.
But what is is called...Id name it Arfeur
Thanks Tonto, That gives me some direction! There are timber blade guides above the table but nothing underneath. I am hoping to use it to cut wood not meat . The body seems to be a soft metal with no rust, aluminium? The same for the table. Any idea of age?
Some more clues would be good. Dimensions, Wheel diameter, brand and size of motor.
A photo from the wheel side would be good.
Does it look like it ever had wheel guards?
Hi Hiroller,
Wheels are 12", blade length is approximately 1695mm, top wheel has what I think is called a snow flake guard , nothing for the bottom wheel. No manufacturers markings at all. Appears to be made of some sort of alloy (not as heavy as I was expecting). No blade guide under table. Lots of mismatched fasteners. Pulled wheels off on the weekend and having fun.
That’s a snow flake I guess.
Heres a couple more.
H.
Thanks Clearout,
Those are a bit bigger than mine! Still lots for me to learn about bandsaws - thank goodness for Youtube
