Has anyone had dealings with Gregory Machinery?
Thanks,

Yes - I've bought two items of machinery from them over the last three years. What would you like to know ?

Gregory Machinery have been around a long time and over the years they have supplied woodworking equipment to most of the State High Schools in Queensland.
I too have bought many thousands of $ worth of Jet machinery and other smaller tools from Gregory Machinery and I have always found them to be a very good company to deal with.
I'll post a reference shortly.
I guess it only takes one bad apple....
This one.
I have a lathe from them. Highly recommend it and their service was just as good

I got a Laguna fusion from one of their agencies in Melbourne which has now closed down but Greg Mach still honored the warranty when the motor failed. No complaints here.
I was talking to one of the two brothers who own Gregory Machinery, and he told me that they moved away from Jet for a number of reasons and towards Laguna because of their quality and price.
They have, apparently, been having problems with Jet for a few years now.
They recently helped me with a Jet pedestal drill disassembly (finally getting around to changing the bearings after the flood in 2011) for no charge. The drill is about 12 years old. Now runs sweet as.
The man who helped me and actually did the work was the owner Alan Gregory.
I bought a Laguna jointer from Gregory Machinery. Apart from the annoying rehearsed sales routines they are pretty good.
I have purchased a few small items (Carter bandsaw tyres, custom length bandsaw blades, etc) from them and found them very helpful. Will definitely be buying from them again.
