Hi guys moving back east so wife can be closer to her parents I ve been looking at some boat plans to build my self an have come across the Panga 22 any idea s as to where it can get the ply cut from the plans in Brisbane . Or would I be better off with a different design I want it for use on the coast from Newcastle around to Esperance as well a little lake an estuary work in the top end

I liked the bosuns mate its a bit bigger an a bit more complex but I guess that's a catch 22 .

In regard to the Bosun's mates construction, it designed so that the internals can be moved, added or subtracted from to suit whatever the client desires. In other words, if one didn't want the side seats, but prefered a centre console version, simply just change it. All I aks of our clients is to just get in touch with me regarding any changes they wish to make so we can wok with them to optimise performance and also, more importantantly, that the boat is Australian Builders Plate compliant.
Being that your moving back to Qld, any boat that you build (power that is) will need to be ABP compliant or you won't be able to get it registered.
On the registration form, the first question asked is :
In case your wondering, all our power boat designs are ABP compliantQuote:
Does your boat have an ABP (yes/ No)
"If NO, you cannot register your boat".

Thanks I noticed that Mark I ve also noticed the smaller power capacities of the ply / fiber boats compared to alloy boat s how hard would it be to put 30 hp engine on your bosun s mate

As I mentioned previously, you can take out the side seats and incorporate a centre console instead. This naturally will really open up the boat leaving it open to other possibility's
Can it be CNC cut?
Yes. I've just sent down the CNC files etc down to Andrew Denman (Denman Marine) for cutting out, so if required, get in contact with him for a kit pricing in this regard. :U
