G'Day,
Do any of you have any experience with Sauno Wood Drying Kilns, I have just bought one and would be glad to hear of any things I should and shouldn't do.

Paddy,
Now that you've had it a while, how do you like your Sauno so far?
Hi Texas,
My Kiln only arrived 2 weeks ago and I am still in the process of finishing my workshop, as soon as I am up and running I will report back.
Regards,
Paddy
Okay great. Will be looking forward to the report.
Thanks, Kevin.
Pardon the interruption mates - I realize this is an ancient post but I'm hoping Paddy is so busy milling & drying that he doesn't remember he's a member here.
Paddy, hope you're subscribed and can give us an update on the kiln's performance. ?

Hi,
Just got my Workshop finished after 2 years, I have had to work for a living to pay for it all so been a while I know, as for the Kiln, haven't got it up and running yet and have considered selling it as time and space may not allow me the luxury of using it. I am now in a position to spend most of my time in my Workshop and have recently bought I tidy bit of Air dried Oak,Walnut and Ash so just looking for the right projects to do.
I shall keep you informed as to the outcome and also if I do get the Kiln going.
Regards
Paddywack
Thanks for the fast reply. Good to hear things are all going your way Paddy _ I envy you. I'm hoping to get to a point where I can actually call myself a woodworker again so I know where you're coming from.
Good luck with whatever you decide & best to you and yours.
Regards, Kevin.
Questions about the Logosol sauno. I noticed that the recommended plans have no fans for cross ventilation. How does that work? And does the kiln box have to be made out of the styrofoam insulation? Must it be form fitting to the stack?
