Red Mahogany bookcase thingy
Ah moving right along, out with the old leaf job and into the next one:roll:. This is a bookcase, wall storage unit thingy. Mostly out of Red Hog but with some Kauri in the shelves with red hog natural edge pieces on some of the shelves and sprinkled through the job. There are four modules, the first three are bookshelf on top with an open shelf area and drawer in the lower section. The fourth has a pigeon hole section at the top for wool storage ( knitting enthuseist) with a work bench to run down the adjacent wall for a couple of meters, storage under the pigeon hole section the same as the other three. I have started the first module. The client also wanted it light, some natural edge some square cut, timber had to match an existing desk. Its Jarrah I think but the Red Mahogany is super close to whatever it is, and its easy to work. drawer bodies will be Tasie Oak with Red Hog fronts. Shelves have to be adjustable. Easy, coupla days bewdiful!! :Uyeh, ok, 4weeks-ish. First batch of photos.
Photos are, the stack or part there of, first blood, M&T joints, holes for shelf pins, glue up top sections, some doweling in cross members, upper and lower sections clamped together, top frame glued together, bottom frame glueup. So far so good:;
