Thanks for your warm welcome guys. Other than routing, I'm pretty well self taught but at almost age 77 I've had a a lot of years to pick things up. The reason that I've become a member of this forum is that on the "other one" I'm expected to deal with "anonymous" members, that is members who join and fail to even give a first name or an indication of their woodworking experience, let alone where about in the world they reside or what major tools they have. I admit to having difficulty addressing a member as "134zxy" etc and how is it possible to instruct such a member how to rout slots using a ski mounted router if that member has no experience or skis.
It will be interesting to see members here that I've had dealings with elsewhere. I haven't resigned form "the other" forum, however I'll see how things progress here.
