Hi all.
I have 2 planes that’s almost identical. But I can't seem to figure out what the planes have been used for... If you look at the pics you will see that the fence is about 70-80 degrees from the cutting edge, and the cutting edge is at an angle from the side of the plane. I think these kind of planes where quite common since I have seen a few of them...
Any help is appriciated!

These look like dovetail planes used for planing the male parts for sliding dovetails - for example the edge of a shelf might be cut as a long continuous dovetail and a matching housing cut in the side of the cabinet carcass.
The plane can shave the edge of the shelf for a perfect fit - hopefully.
The planes have nickers for cutting across the grain ahead of the blade to prevent tear out.

I was going to suggest that you might have a panel raising plane, but I can't see a depth stop, so I think SG might be right.

Very nice.
They look like German dovetail planes. I couldn't say which brands or which period, (30's maybe?) there were many, they normally vary only slightly one to the other and are still produced to more or less that pattern.
I love these wedged German planes. They are all I use... they are still what the German woodworkers use.
