A question of design
Hi all, my name's Luke and I'm new to posting on these forums. I have a question that may be stupid but my Google-fu is poor and I can't find a solution to the problem...
I want to make a folding case with each leaf of an equal depth so it can open to a full 180° with both sides supported fully on a table. When folded, it needs a handle so I can carry it easily. How do I attach a handle that isn't offset from the centreline?
The case will be roughly 500x500x100 and should weigh less than10kg when full.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Have a handle on each half, or half a handle on each half that line up when closed.

A metal blade recessed an screwed into the opening edge. Handle can either be attached to the blade, or the blade can have a cut out for a handle which is fitted with timber scales like a knife handle.
