Hi All
Wondering if there is a general rule of thumb about using the speed control on my ets15. Should i be using a slower sped with 80-100g and fast for 180-240 etc or vis-versa or just set it mid and forget it?
Thanks

Unless heat build up is a concern with whatever material you are sanding, run it flat out. Assuming its timber, set it as fast as is practical, that way more movement of the abrasive over a given area under the pad reduces the size or likelihood of any scratches occuring as they are more rapidly sanded out before the pad moves from one area to another. The exception is edges. If I'm sanding the edge of a baord, say 19mm, then I slow teh sander down for better control. that's what I do anyway.
