I'm not REALLy a tool junkie but.....
My tool buying is occasionally impulsive but I normally purchase a tool that I know I will use. Magazines are largely the cause of this affliction although I have been known to design a piece that NEEDS this new tool so that I can justify it to myself.
HOWEVER, occasionally, raw tool lust takes over and strange tools just seem to appear in the backpack that I have worn to the SWWW show!

These little jewels are found on one of the smaller stands, they are made for Burfitt who, I think is based in WA, and are made to his design. They cost about $10 and take up absolutely no room in the backpack. They are beautifully made and an absolute wizard at cutting, bending holding and forming .... of which I do VERY little!
One of them holds very small brads for driving, which has been a real boon since the fingerectomy, and so it's about the only one that has any regular use.
i would like to do something special to practically store them. Many years ago, my Father was a very early implementer of the electronics world making and selling Australia's only transistor amplifiers. He had his tools, cutters, pliers, small screw drivers, probes etc stored in a leatherette roll, with elastic stitched in as holders and I'm thinking of doing the same thing with these BUT, as they are as 'wide' as they are 'long' I doubt that it would roll up very well. I thought of stapling elastic to a nice piece of timber but then I have created another storage problem?
If I had one of those beautiful little tool cabinets with drawers I could cut foam and store them in the shallow drawers BUT I don't have one and where would I store IT?
Any thoughts?
