Many thanks for all of your kind comments re. the little chair. FYI the chair was made from Pine from the local builders merchants, cheap but far from ideal. The back was laminated from 4 blocks and carved using hand tools. I reckon the back took about 70 hours but then it was only the second piece of carving I had attempted. The rest of the chair went together in about a day. The rear of the back has Pooh's backside hanging out of rabbit's burrow (!). The local paper picked up on the story and ran a nice piece about it and the woodwork magazine I write for featured it too. I approached Disney about producing a small run of replicas and received a 'phone call late one evening saying that the only way they would be interested was to produce hundreds or even more and sell them through their stores. This was obviously not an option for me and they ended the 'phone call by saying that the conversation had never taken place!
