I've recently been offered some very large pieces of this wood. The price is fair and I'm likely to buy it.
I believe the taxonomic name is Beilschmiedia bancroftii and other names include Yellow Nut and Canary Ash.
I was just curious if anyone had ever encountered this wood or worked with it. My understanding is that it is quite rare. Is it a good furniture wood? What are its properties?
Just interested in any feedback.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Luke
