i am not exactly new to this but i am no expert .... i have stopped buying elegant beauty kits because, while they are a beautiful looking kit, i find a very high proportion of them have problems (maybe as high as 80%) ...
i have a couple on the desk beside me at present and took them apart again to see ... as you said not rocket science but the two here are inconsistent, sometimes working and then suddenly not
could well be something i am doing wrongly but i just find it easier to make other kits up ... streamline are simple, cheap, quite good looking and i get 100 % with them ... sierras for a single tube kit are good ... i have next to no problems with them ... not as flash looking as the elegant beauty
i have also been doing some rollerballs lately which whilst a bit more expensive are easy and reliable
regards david
thanks for the feedback will be ringing supplier after xmas
Maybe you should put your question here as they may have some ideas for a fix if it is a problem encountered by many.
I tend to use the Sierra kits and haven't had any problems with them and they all come from the same place.
I have found occasionally (and I don't know why) that the top does not always grab the Pen. A simple solution if keeping pen for yourself is to wrap a little bit of tape around the end of Pen cartridge to make it slightly thicker.
