Time for a proper timber rack.
Hi folks,
1st post in ages.
As I bid farewell to it, I thought I'd share a photo of my very dodgy, but very reliable timber rack that has served me for about twelve or so years without any scary moments.
The rack was almost certainly way overloaded with lots of hardwood and other materials Maybe 500+ kg. (Check the 2nd and 3rd pics). Whenever I rearranged or removed materials for use, I also ensured I had plenty of space to jump clear and worked carefully. Never heard a creak or crack, and it never moved. So pretty stoked.
I've finally bought a proper steel cantilever rack to replace it, that will add extra height, extra arms with more clearance and a lot of extra peace of mind.
Probably safest that I disassemble, especially considering Im on the WHS committee at my work, but I will put it up for free in the marketplace in case someone else wants a convenient and reliable storage solution for their timber.
Now, to get stuck into some projects that actually use some of this pile. Paul says to himself, "stop picking up recyclable timber when you see it on the kerbside etc! No, no, I''m not a hoarder..."
