This is a good reliable vacuum bag press that will pull down to -14 psi and cost under $100 to make it consists of a clear (.7mm) pvc bag that was welded by a local tarpaulin supplier and reinforced at the outlet point by welding an extra piece of pvc at that point a simple clamp was made for the open end from two pieces of wood and along piece of dowel.
Plus some air fittings,plistic fuel fillter and a hydraulic ¼ inch nipples with one side machined of to leave a ¼ inch hollow bolt and an old fridge compressor. A scrap piece of carpet is used in the bag to let the air pass through as the vacum is pulled.
This has to be my best tool and I use it often, the compressor could be turned on and off with a timer to avoid over heating.
