WC2000 Table Slots
Hi,
I have the WC2000 and would like some advice on the table guides.
When I insert the mitre guide and lock it up there is always a bit of side to side slop left. This means that the mitres I try to cut can have a difference of a degree or two between them. Not much but definitely annoying when trying to make a square corner.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this or is it just loose manufacturing tolerances between the mitre guide bar and the table slot?
By the way, I have replaced the original triangular section fence on the WC2000 with a 50mm x 100mm rectangular aluminium section that allows me to make and use all of those nice jigs designed for fixed table saws.

In the Triton instructions, it tells you where & how hard to tap in order to adjust this fit.
Basically, hammer it gently to slightly spread it, so it's a closer fit in the slot.

The June edition of the Holmesglen Triton Club has some excellent tips on cutting mitres for frames etc. I have tried them and they are spot on. Try the following URL

Thanks for the info. I have looked in my installation instructions and could not find anything about "adjusting" the mitre but I am always willing to use a hammer on most things - will be very gentle.
