It's been a year now since I've completed all the bits to convert a canoe in sailing canoe. Due to my inexperience in sailing and building the PDR I was hesitant to learn how to sail in a canoe. So after a few attempt in PDR I finally got the Eureka to sail!:U

And Eureka without sails - as you know her :;

I was steering with a paddle which is not ideal but I managed. In light wind conditions it is fairly easy but as the wind picks up and canoe picks up speed it became harder and harder.
I've been out twice now and it has been fun. My intention was merely cruising with the canoe which I was able to do on a calm lake with moderate wind.
There are more photos and 3 short movie clips (made all with mobile phone while holding the paddle and the main sheet :oo:)
