Removing glass jars from the shed- need a replacement

Like many shed owners I use glass jars for a lot of purposes in the workshop, especially paints and fasteners.
For safety reasons I have decided to remove all of the glass jars and replace with either plastic or metal containers.
Plastic containers are readily available but I am having troiuble finding air-tight containers for paints.
Ideally empty paint tins of 250-500 ml would do the job but I cant find anywhere in Sydney where I can get myself 10 -12 new tins
I want new tins so I can at least start off with them looking neat and tidy

lint I went to a place that mixes auto paint and asked if they could sell me a couple small cans to store left over paint in and yep they did. 1/4 litre, 1/2 litre and 1 litre tins brand new & cheap:D

How about square plastic jars - Jars & Accessories - People in Plastic. Exactly the ones you see in the supermarket with stuff in them.

Yet another annoying site where you have to sign up to see prices, but the 250mL ones are about 50c, the 500mL about 70c. Cheaper by the pallet of course. They don't have the bigger sizes in square, but they do have a shop where you can buy a few.

Makes you wonder about the cost of the contents...

I decanted the last lot of paint I used from the original can because they seem to rust out quickly these days. For the exercise I used an empty 1kg Jalna yoghut container. It seems to be doing the job so far with a good airtight lid.

If you have some drawers I really recommend this - it's easy to see it all and pick it out.

That's pretty good Bob, I like that. I'll keep a look out for a set of metal drawers like that - see them every now and then at auctions.

I use plastic honey pots. We go though oodles of honey at our place so we produce lots of empty honey pots. I use them to put all kinds of stuff in because they seal airtight, so they are good for paint.

But I like that drawer arrangement for bits and bobs...

I have recently put paint into 2 and 3 litre containers from one of the $2 shops. I put cling-wrap over the top of the container before screwing the caps on.
