Interesting to see all the Gwen action on this forum.
I have one. It's all wood, circa early sixties. Sail no. 8246.
I am prepared to donate it to an enthusiast that will move it within the next couple of weeks.
Included are:
hull [in poor cond.]
aluminium mast & boom and related stainless rigging [relatively complete]
jib and main [good cond.]
rudder & centreboard [good but centreboard needs regluing]
It has been a beautiful boat in its day. Originally all varnished.
Now very sad looking. The whole outer skin is rotted and would need to be replaced. Think the frame is well made and would be ok. Needs a committed person who knows what they're doing, if it's possible to salvage it at all.
Anyway, it's gotta go, and would rather hand it over to someone that can do something with it than put a match to it.
I'm in SW Sydney. Message me if you're interested. You will need your own trailer btw.
