I like this one, yeah, yeah Dorno I stole your idea (well sorta). I got half a dozen Banksia Grandiflora nuts from Dave aka "dusteater" a while back (plus bonus goodies) and finally got to cut one up and bury it in some red PR. Still a bugger to turn, lots of CA. But hey I really like the result. Hope you do too.

Almost all the combined blanks of PR and other materials ,including shredded money and coffee beans, need lots of care and usually a lot of stabilising with thin CA as you go, but most times the finished products are well worth the effort :) You usually have to sneak up on them and forget aggressive methods of turning ,even sandpapering the last millimetre or so is perfectly ok :) Some folks can do wonders with a finely honed skew and a steady hand, I am not one of them lol.
