Seeing laser cut lines outside

Hi all

I have a mitre saw with laser guides for the cut line. They are great indoors but outside they are very hard to see and on a sunny day pretty much impossible. Does anyone know of a way of seeing the lines outside. Yes putting a blanket over yourself and the saw like an old school photographer does work but I was hoping for something a lot simpler. I saw that Bosch sell some glasses as an optional extra when you use their laser levels outside. Has anyone used them?

don't know if they would work, but you could try a pair of polaroid sunnies

The laser glasses will make a noticeable difference

The Polaroid sunnies didn't make any difference so I guess I'll give the Bosch glasses a try.

Well I bought the red tint sunnies and can now see the laser lines in even the brightest outside light. Not sure why people are critical of laser guides, I just set them as per the manual and now I know exactly what I'm doing - cutting wood at any compound angle quickly, accurately and with no fussing around trying to line up a beveled blade. Given the same basic idea is used by surveyors, engineers, granos and brickies I assume those with concerns stay out of recently built buildings. https://www.woodworkforums.com/images/icons/icon7.png

Then I had to use it outside one day and found out why

I don't think there is anything wrong with laser guides on a saw. 50% of my cuts I wish I had a laser guide. Then again, I am only a self taught wood worker.
