I saw that video and made a stick about 6 months ago. I really like it. Will also work with a camp for those who dont have holdfasts.

Amos 7:7 This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand.
I really like the simple idea of the stick plus a plumb-bob for checking plumb.
A couple of years ago while doing some renovating my old Italian neighbour (a brickie) came over to chat. I was using a dumpy to mark my posts for bearers. He watched for a bit then went home and came back a moment later with a plumb bob about 500mm long and with a flourish said 'That's all we Italians needed to build Roma!'.
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
