Producing tenons with the router
Giving some serious thought as to what is capable of being produced with the router I presented a demonstration at the South Perth Mens Sheds on Monday. I introduced an alternatiove method of producing a Tenon. Instead of making it a single tenon I presented a Double tenon.
The procedure was exactly the same as the single tenon But it took twice as long
I set up the simple jig I had produced in 2011 and proceeded to make the first tenon. There was some excitement when it was completed in just ten seconds Flipping my template insert over and the second Tenon was completed in the same time
I have enclosed page 10 of the material I am producing for one of my next books. Also the picture of the joint produced on 40mm square materialAttachment 322117Attachment 322118.
