Anyone have this coping saw?

I'm looking for a coping saw I won't hate. Remarkably hard to find, it seems.

In my search I've noticed that they all look the same and cost within $15 of each other one way or another with the exception of one...

The Knew Concepts 6.5" Aluminum Coping Saw.

From where I'm sitting, it seems that someone finally has figured out how to make a coping saw that isn't horrible to use and has solved all of the age-old problems, but, unfortunately, it costs $195 in Australia, so it's not exactly a cheap saw for a trial.

So I'm looking for feedback. Anyone used this?

A friend of mine (Trav) lent me one for some dovetails and it was very nice.

If you get one, you could make a deep picture frame and display it on the lounge room wall. They are beautifully made.

And readily available from people like Lee Valley, Tools for Working Wood or Highland Woodworking on the other side of the Pacific for a bit less, even if the $AU slides some more, even taking postage into account. The main danger is that you will see something else that is in the must have category, oh! and that one is shiny......it is a slippery slope:o

Oh, yes, I have one and the jeweller's saw too (bought it before the coping saw came out).

I have the 8" version and, as 'BSR' says, it is a work of art. It (and my chisels) are about the only tools that can be reached from my workbench without even leaning ...and that says just how indispensable it has become. If you do frame it ...put hinges on the frame!
