2015 GIS Calendar Call for Photos

It's that time of year again! Forum members are invited to nominate their favorite GIS photos for the next calendar. Most of the action is taking place on Facebook, but this thread is intended to broaden the access. As before, all years, all locations, all states of completion are welcome. MIK will help whittle down to a manageable collection (last year had about 40) and will create a publicly accessible voting page. That may take place on Facebook, but we'll try to collect voting here too.

Upload your nominations here, or email them to me if that works better: davlafont *at* gmail *dot* com. Please include the boat owner's name, and if possible, the photographer so that we can track down the best source images possible (plus it's the right thing to do as far as intellectual property goes).

DEADLINE: October 31, 2014

We use the voting results to get the best 15 or 16 and then choose the best 12 or 13 for the calendar. We usually find one or two are not available or are not sharp enough
or some other problem.

If we end up a bit short of numbers a photo of the editors choice may be substituted. But so far we have not had to do that much.

No, if you know that a photo has been nominated on Facebook then there's no need to repeat here. But feel free to post up here without concern for Facebook; if there are duplicates there's no harm.

THE CLOCK HAS STRUCK MIDNIGHT AROUND THE WORLD!!! DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION HAS NOW PASSED!

Stay tuned for voting instructions, but you can begin telling your friends and family that they can help decide the winners; the bigger the crowd, the greater the results!
