This rail cart was a project for a small retirement village workshop which I volunteer at. Many parts,I think the guys did a great job of it.

Great. Well done.:2tsup:
Great !!!
Yes, I must also agree, that is one first class toy train and the blokes doing the work look fantastic, A HUGE well done to all, cheers, crowie
PS - Were did you get the plan please??
Thanks Crowie,
The design is mine. Built a prototype, from which the parts were copied, our 95 yo scrollsawer cut the parts, two others did the sanding, one did all the fine painting (an ex draftsman). I do have paper cutouts of the body parts, which could be scanned full size if there might be interest in making one.
Cheers,
Gus

Love it.
I like the facial expressions.
Attached are the body parts. The upper set is the country bumkin, the other is the railwayman. The dots are the pivot points for the arms and legs. The arms were 5mm mdf and the body 12mm, and 5mm dowel was used for the joints. The other parts are up to you, eg, the size of the cart, the actuating assembly depends on this, the wheels etc. I have the prototype, can provide photos if assistance is required. How it looks, the faces etc is up to you of course.
Have fun !
Gus
