Fitting out a study for the Mother in Law

I have just recently fitted out my mother in laws office with a desk and an in built cabinet. All built from recycled Tasmanian Oak and the like ( except the melamine cabinets) from Timber Zoo in Geelong Victoria. Love that desk, nicely designed with great proportions. What kind of finish did you use?

Thanks Justin, I put a sanding sealer, and a colour reduced stain with a wipe on poly over the top. Simple and clean. The design was very similar to one I saw in a issue of the wood review.
