Great set up, but he won't split the stuff.
If I had ten grand, id be all over that. Not even too far for me to fetch, though itll be a few trips with the trailer.
I am struggling to see $10 000 worth of equipment there.... Take the J&S 540. It is the plain bearing wheelhead, not repairable if clapped out..
Agree, unless you're really into the sort of work that requires stuff other than the machine tools. There might be $8K value there - the mill is a good brand and looks in excellent condition, $3K or a bit more. Lathe is OK, maybe $2-3K. Grinder, yeah, have to see it running or it's worth the value of a used magnetic chuck. Shaper, peanuts though it does have the vise. Etc.
Then there's the hassle of disposing of what you don't want which is exactly why the owner has it listed as a job lot. He knows some of it won't sell if listed separately and is trying to make that the buyer's problem. Fair enough too, if the price is right. Which, IMO, it isn't - yet.

I'm pretty sure that the rest of the "Crap" could be sold, I'd be interested in some of it, folder etc.

Somebody call the police, that Waldown is a steal. :o
Oops! Just realised I posted that Waldown link in another thread. Sorry, should have started new thread.
