LVL joists and attaching Scyon

My joists are 98mm x 50mm (they were probably 100mm x 50mm when the villa was built back in 1989).

I need to beef up the subfloor of the bathroom area before laying Scyon down on it. There are a number of hardwoods which are naturally termite resistant but it would probably not be a good idea to use green timber as it will shrink and dressed timber is hugely expensive.

My local timber yard suggested using 100mm x 45 LVL (Red Alert) although looking at the tables 100mm x 63mm might be better. I would need to plane off 2mm on one side and apply timber preservative against termites (green tin) for planed surface and cut ends.

1. Is LVL a viable option?

2. How do you attach LVL joists to hardwood bearers (the bearers are 92mm x 70mm)?

3. What adhesive do you use to stick down Scyon to Red Alert LVL? Red Alert recommend Fuller's Max Bond Pro or Max Bond Fast Grip but that may or may not be suitable for Scyon?

4. For fastenings between the Scyon and the Red Alert LVL, which is better, screws or nails for holding power?
