Post Drill Madness - More Boynton & Plummers
Having developed a soft spot for Boynton & Plummer post drills (a close second to my soft spot for Silver post drills), I was excited when three came up on the local internet auction site.
First: an almost complete Boynton & Plummer No.2.

Missing just the crank-handle (as far as I can see). But the price was getting up there, at $140 - and I didn't particularly want a No.1 (not to mention there's not much room left).
Then there were these three. From left to right: a Buffalo Forge; a Boynton & Plummer No.1; and a Boynton & Plummer No.2.

The Buffalo Forge looks complete. Both the Boynton & Plummers are missing the pillars, pillar feet, yokes and tables. On these models the pillars are mounted separately, with a foot top and bottom of the pillar. Once again the bidding got too hot for me and they sold for $566.
And this Boynton & Plummer No.1 failed to sell for $325. It's also missing pillar, pillar feet, yoke and table.

In contrast, this Silver No.1 sold yesterday for $21 - and I forgot to bid.

D'oh .
