I don't quite understand the problem from your description. If it is as I think - the SW downpipe is 300mm short of sitting on the trap, then why not just extend it using a female-female joiner and a short length of pipe?
I've just finished using the Reln system. Looks good in the shop, but I didn't like the difficulty of getting it to go together neatly, and getting it apart again for adjustments is particularly difficult and prone to breaking/cracking the ends. Having one male end and one female end in the box drain lengths somewhat restricts the options of what fittings can be applied to the ends (e.g. you can't have a round stormwater fitting on both ends to have an ag-line coming in and a 90mm SW going out).
Photos and/or sketch please
How much fall in the new gutter over what length, also how much fall from start of old drain to its outlet
the fall from the old pipe to the end of the reln drain is 1in5 over 19mtrs
we badly need a photo or sketch of the drain, the pipe (including its size) and the 1 in 5 fall over 19m
initially lifting and relaying 3 m of the old drain so it is at a fall of 1 in 10 fall will lower the drain's inlet by 300mm -- but the old pipe may be too small a diameter for this to work.
Please, photos and a sketch
