Hello there members, fellow fisho's/bait drowners.

Found this chap (he has a sense of humour) whilst looking for reel reviews, he only does spinning reels but his break down and analogy of components is next to none.

I found too much B.S from fan boys on other sites and Utube, so Alan's reviews were really refreshing.

Some of you may have stumbled onto his site before, but if you are new to fishing or moving up in gear, its well worth reading.

Some great reading, on his critiques and info, well worth a read, he gives some of the manufactures a dressing down, some listen, some don't.

Hope that helps somebody, wish I had stumbled onto it 10-15years ago, would have saved a few bucks by not buying mediocre reels, that fail after a while, might add NOT from lack of care!

i ended up buying a Quantum Cabo 50PTSE for that new rod, may get a cabo 120 or a saragosa 20000 or 25000 - either can be used in the surf or the boat.

New Penn torque 2 would be nice but will be $$$$$$
