Hi All,
Not sure if this is the correct forum or not for this. If not Mods please move it.
However, if it is, I am looking for a metal Speed Square that is reasonably accurate. Where is the best place to get one?
Thanks All.

I bought the swanson one when master was still around. Its accurate and I use it all the time.
Amazon still sells them. https://www.amazon.com/Swanson-NA202.../dp/B000IOCN8U

Are the 2 angles meant to be 45 deg as I bought one at Masters and they're close but not bang on
I bought this one from total tools preston for $25 AUD,

and ordered in the 12 inch version from total tools epping. Both metric scale

love these squares, its a shame speed squares arent popular in australia...
I got the Swanson square when Masters was around. I think it cost less than$20. I find it very handy for all sorts of things. It is accurate enough for most things I do and just about indestructible. Like has been said above I also wonder why they are little used here in Oz.

I performed a flip test. See the pencil line in each of the picture. The complete alignment between the line and the quick square in each of the picture shows that the square is square.
It is a Swanson 250mm.
Have also done the flip test and with a pencil line it's pretty close. As I said good enough for most things I do. That said for really critical stuff that requires using a marking knife then I find a thin steel bladed square better for that. The metal on these is quite thick and sort of makes marking knife work awkward for me at least. Still worth having about the shed however (but perhaps not at over $60)

Have seen the Swanston's in two sizes from memory at Total Tools (Kilsyth) and a single size at Mitre 10. That might give you a few options if you have local branches of either nearby.
