NSO- Must be flavour of the month
Not to be outdone, just kidding, I mentioned recently I was gifted with a 1960's/70's Northern Stinky Oak cot, its such a striking timber I have 2 boxes on the go, one ready for separation (the one I'm posting today) the other in the process of production. lid very intricate glue up. photos to post in another thread.
but here's my quick 10min knock up, using Home made finger joint jig (made by someone else not me) Jig photo attached also. And a pic showing the layout of the individual lid pieces, all off-cuts put together to get a bigger piece for the lid. I rounded the corners over for effect (also to hide some tearout) but works nicely I think. it's a small jig tool box so will be used often and I'm just being rather knobish by making this but every bit of box making practice helps.
