Air compressors
I currently use a small conventional air compressor to pressurise my pressure pot. I am thinking of moving to a 240/12 portable compressor normally used for inflating tyres etc. my concern is, will a portable compressor have the capacity to pressurise the pot to 60 PSI. I have a shut off cock on the pot to prevent air loss when the maximum pressure is reached.
appreciate any advice.

I use a small compressor made for use with an airbrush to pump up my pressure pot but only to 50 psi . It takes about 2 minutes to get there , about twice as long as my big compressor , but once there, it usually only runs for about 30 seconds about every half hour or so and is makes much less noise .I don't see why a good portable compressor wouldn't work . I used to have one which would do it when I owned a 4WD .

Most of those portable 12v air compressors have a capacity of 150 psi, it is the flow rate that varies
