Centrifugal switch replacement for thicknesser motor

Hi,

I'm looking for a replacement for a switch like this for my thicknesser motor. Every single place I've called who repairs electric motors can't help.

I only need the switch mechanism .. Not the electrical plate that it contacts.

The shaft is 16mm / 5/8inch.

Does anyone know where I could source this here in oz?

Are you replacing the mechanism because of the crack thru the casting? If so, it will be easier to repair the cracked casting by machining it and fitting a sleave over it. Depending on where you are located I may be able to help you with that.

Hey - thank you. Yes, the crack through the casting, and furthermore, the switch itself gets a little 'stuck', sometimes only one side of the switch lifts out, causing the motor to vibrate a little. I have lubed it up, and it helps a little.

In the short term I used a hose clamp to wrap around the cracked part which is helping a lot.

I am based in Melbourne - where are you? Even a short cylinder with a slot cut out of it - a 'C' - would be great to friction fit over the sleeve.
