Cannot directly comment on either form personal experience, other than to say I've not come across Baumr before, but the Swarts unit is highly regarded in these forums: https://www.woodworkforums.com/f171/s...re-drop-161492
I have had nothing to do with either but I noticed the following specs.
Baumr-ag (if that’s the mode,) has a blade diam. of 210mm while the Swarts is 305mm. The Baumr has mitres to 45 degrees with a bevel in one direction only to 45 degrees while the Swarts has 45 degrees both directions. Also it appears the Baumr cutting head has sliding rails while the Swarts cutting head slides on the rails. This means you would need more room behind the saw to accomodate the rails on a Baumr.
Thank you midnightman & lappa for your prompt reply and information.deckell.
