Blackwood
Hi members, been clearing up some sheds ahead of a house move and got distracted by these.
Blackwood squares 44mm,1@500,1@550,1@250 and 1@200.
Air dried to 14% moisture and d.a.r as well as sanded to 120 grit in a drum sander. Some light fiddleback figure and one corner of sapwood on the 250 piece. Also one plain piece 72x40x400. All timber comes from the far north west tasmanian blackwood swamps so is slow grown with good colour. Weight 3.5kg and asking for $55 plus freight, mostly around $15. Beautiful colour - much nicer than the crappy blackwood that grows (fast) on our place in NSW.
Not sure why, but all your timber photos seem hazy. If you take pics with mobile phone maybe worth giving the camera lens a wipe over?
I was very tempted by the lovely huon you posted as well, but resisting so far.

Thanks for that Mr. Brush will keep it in mind. Poor light down here at this time of year too. Pics taken just before midday and shadows are very visible. Thanks Wayne

Just to clarify for you.The lens is dirty, nothing to do with the light.
I was a photographer for over 20 years, you can trust me :)
If it’s a phone, use a soft cloth on the end of a cotton bud and give it a few goes, it will work wonders.
Cheers Cal
