DIY Router Table finally complete (sort of..)

Hi all

Finally got around to completing the dust extraction and mitre track for front featherboard today. With these complete Im more or less calling this project complete.

I started this table back in January 2018 with an $89 Bunnings work bench and the Ryobi router. At that stage I had no intention to, or even knew about, adding a fence, featherboards, router plate inserts etc.

My initial purpose for the table was for making HDPE speaker adapters for a car stereo install using a flush trim bit. Since then I have rediscovered woodworking and have been putting this table together over the past 6 or so weekends. Just doing a little at a time and screwing and re-doing things.

In any event, it's been fun and Im now looking to build some shed cabinets.

looking very good. simple and practical, what size hose for your dust and being sucked into what?

ps is the car in background the one speakers were for? what brand of car?

2x 2.5" hoses that are currently attached to a Ryobi wet/dry with DIY cyclone. It get's the job done for the time being but I plan on getting a 2hp dust extractor.

Yes, that's the car. I did a complete custom stereo install. My first go at that as well. Pics below is version 1 of the table and the cyclone that works reasonably well. Photos of front door install from before and after. Car is a Renault Megane RS265.

I was thinking of selling it to clear some space but only reason im holding onto it is because its my only work bench at the moment.
