A couple of sierra blanks prepped and ready
Here’s a couple of pre-prepared Sierra blanks. One is from a downed She-Oak, the other is a combo of Honduran Rosewood, Rockmaple, with black dyed veneer and rock maple veneer.

I love the oak, it has beautiful grain.
close ups. I tried to capture the grain but the CA was making it hard to photograph.

You’ll notice a line at the tip, I tried to put a feature cut didn’t seem to work too well as it has darkened it might be ok when mounted
