Hi i'm new here and new to woodworking.
I've used my router to create some nice curves on my piece of timber, but now i need to cut out a small rectangle, approx 30mm x 40mm.
What's the easiest way for me to do this accurately? Thanks in advanced.

fences. And with care.
I'd keep my workpiece as large as possible before routing, and certainly not separate the rectangle until the last minute.
Welcome by the way
I 3D-printed a router template and used a template guide + spiral bit when I did this
If the workpiece is big enough, rip 4 strips of mdf on a table saw, with 2 to the height you want. Slide them around to get the right dimensions for the rectangle. Tape tightly in place. Clamp to workpiece and route.
